Vermont Hemp Company's mission is to empower and enrich the lives of our farmers, customers, communities and the natural environment through the practices of analytical research, regenerative agriculture, and whole systems manufacturing, resulting in the reliable delivery of high quality services and products, while building social, environmental, and economic value. We are a leading company in the USA in all areas of Hemp research, production, and marketing.

Vermont Hemp Co. is a farmer-facing organization focused on advanced agricultural research. We hold a Vermont Hemp Permit in good standing with over four years of experience. We strive to empower Vermont's farmers to create a distributed economic model that puts equity back in the hands of farmers and cleans up excess nutrient runoff.  An applied research and development outfit interested in the many applications of hemp, we are one of the few privately owned entities in the United States that is operating with full federal compliance under Sec. 7606 of the 2014 US Farm Bill. We are permitted to grow, process, and ship products across state lines, are the first leader in hemp on the East Coast, and have secured relationships with more than a dozen experienced organic hemp growers in 2017. 

Vermont Hemp Co. has a consistent and proven track record for growing, producing, and delivering high-quality Vermont agricultural products. We are led by our founder and CEO, and international hemp farming expert, Joel T. Bedard. 


Our Research

Vermont Hemp Co. has spent years planning and experimenting on genetics, equipment and process flow, and works in affiliation with Dr. Brian Voigt of the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics. Our principals have secured research with the DEA's Springfield, Virginia Research Facility, affording full compliance with Section 7606 of the 2014 Federal Farm Bill.
